Yurts
(up to 6 people, some allow pets)

  • Live like a nomad in these unique accommodations that will keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter with a propane or gas log fireplace.
  • Most yurts are furnished with bunk beds, a futon, a table and chairs.
  • Some yurts have a microwave oven and refrigerator, but not all have electricity.

  • Colorado State Parks offers a variety of cabins designed to accommodate small groups or large.
  • Amenities vary depending on location from simple camper cabins to fully furnished lodges with hot showers and full kitchens.
  • Rates vary by location and range from $70 to $260.

Golden Gate Canyon (6-person camper cabins)
Mueller (4-8 person furnished cabins)
Navajo (6-person furnished cabins)
Steamboat Lake (4-6 person camper cabins)

State Forest (6-person camper cabins, 2 lodges that sleep 15 and 20)
Sylvan Lake (6-person camper cabins, one 12-person cabin)



Harmsen Ranch Guest House
(up to 8 people, no pets but horse corral and RV sites included)

  • This beautiful four bedroom, two bathroom guest house at Golden Gate Canyon State Park offers a full kitchen, linen service, and gas fireplaces.
  • A perfect place to spend the weekend with friends or family, this house features indoor and outdoor dining areas, private sitting rooms, a grill, and easy access to trails, Panorama Point, and Dude's fishing hole.
  • Two electrical RV sites located near the barn are available to rent, and a horse corral is also available for equestrian guests.

Stay in a Tipi!

For a truly unique camping experience, guests can rent a tipi at Yampa River State Park from June through September (reserve tipi directly with Yampa River State Park). 

Beds are included, but be sure to bring bedding such as a sleeping bag. There are tables inside as well, and a fire pit and picnic table outside.
