Registration is required for all power boats and sail boats operating on Colorado waters. Boating accidents that result in injury or death, or damage beyond $500 must be reported using a Boating Accident Report Form. Recall on Certain Inflatable PFD's
There has been a recall on certain Mustang Inflatable PFD's that use the hydrostatic (HIT) inflation system. If you have one of these PFD's, please visit www.mustangsurvival.com/HIT to see if your specific model is affected.
2-Stroke PWC Ban
Many questions have come up about banning 2-stroke boat motors in Colorado, like they will be on Lake Powell and in other states. This is not currently under consideration in Colorado; you will be still be able to operate both 2 & 4 stroke motors within the state after January 1st.
