Mancos State Park’s two yurts provide visitors with an alternative to RV and tent camping. You can reserve a yurt year-round. Yurts are reminiscent of tents used by nomads on the steppes of Mongolia and Siberia. The yurt is a round tent on a wooden frame with circular skylights and windows to provide light. The ceiling fan and screened windows and door let the breezes flow through to keep the yurt comfortable on warm summer days.  The yurt’s insulated walls and propane heater/gas-log fireplace keep it warm in the winter.

Mancos State Park has year-round camping.  No RV electrical, water or sewer hookups are available.  Drinking water is available at hydrants year-round, vault toilets are located at several places in the park and campground.  The park dump station is available to campers. Whether you want to stay cozy in a yurt or enjoy tent camping in cool weather Mancos has a spot for you!  Spring is a great time to enjoy the park.  The trails are accessible and trees and spring flowers are starting to pop out.  Spring conditions can range from warm and sunny to cold and snowy!  So, come prepared for sudden changes in weather.  See the conditions page for updates on park conditons.  Mancos also provides a great base camp for year-round activities in the nearby  San Juan National Forest.
