Boat Ramps

There are 13 access points on the Yampa River along the 134-mile Yampa River State Park stretch of the river from Hayden to the Dinosaur National Monument on the Utah line.
The following seven areas have boat ramps: 1.Hayden Pump Station; 2.Double Bridges 6.South Beach; 7.Duffy Mountain; 8.Juniper Canyon; 9.Maybell Bridge; 11.Cross Mt. All sites are identified by their respective numbers on the Yampa River Brochure and Map. See the River Access Points on this Web site.

Campgrounds

The Headquarters campground near Hayden, has 35 electric RV sites, and ten basic tent sites. The campground also has a teepee for rent, five basic group campsites and a camper services building with showers and laundry facilities. There are six primitive campgrounds with river access along the 134-mile segment of the river from Hayden to the Dinosaur National Monument Each primitive camping area has between five and 10 campsites. Along various stretches of the river undeveloped camping opportunities exist. Refer to the river Access Points and Camping sections of this Web site.

The Headquarters campground near Hayden, CO has a conference room available for rent for $100.00 per day. Call (970) 276-2061 to reserve.

Group Campground

Yampa River headquarters offers a group camping area with five tent only sites. These sites are separate from the other camping sites at the park and are available through the reservation system.

Showers

The Headquarters campground has coin operated showers and laundry facilities which require quarters. The showers are 4 quarters ($1.00) for 4 minutes.

Visitor Center

The Visitor Center is located at the Headquarters campground near Hayden, Colorado. The Visitor Center provides visitor and traveler information as well as maps and other printed resources.

Wedding Facilities

Yampa River State Park is a beautiful place to have your wedding. There are many areas to choose from in the park, but the most popular are the sites located near the beautiful Yampa River. The Park also has a conference room ideal for last minute details. Please call the park office 970-276-2061 with any questions or to make reservations.
