Boating - 12/4/2011
Only hand carried non-trailered boats are allowed to launch, as the ramp and inspections have closed for the season.
Hunting - 12/4/2011
Waterfowl hunting is permitted on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays as DPW regulations allow. You must have a valid park pass displayed in your vehicle to enter the park.
Icing Conditions - 12/18/2011
The lake is partially iced over and still has open water.
Park Entrance - 12/4/2011
Park hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm October 1st thru May 1st. Please call our Crawford office at 970-921-5721 to verify whether staff will be available at the Sweitzer office. You must have a valid park pass displayed in your vehicle to enter the park. Purchases may be made by cash or check only at the self service tube at the entrance of the park.
Road Conditions - 12/4/2011
The gate to the east side of the park will be closed after it has rained or snowed. Moisture makes the road impassable. The bridge over the dam has been removed. This means that the only public access to the North Side day use area is by boat.
Seasonal Closures - 12/4/2011
The park office is open as staffing permits. If further assistance is needed, please call Crawford State Park at 970-921-5721. Effective October 1st the ramp will be closed and ANS inspections will cease. Only hand launched, non trailered boats will be allowed on the lake after the ramp is closed.
Water Levels - 12/4/2011
We are currently at full pool.
