Camping at Steamboat Lake offers a spectacular opportunity to immerse yourself in clean, crisp air
and true Rocky Mountain living.

The campgrounds are currently closed due to snow, but first-come-first-serve camping is available in the Marina parking lot.

Reservations for 2012 are up and ongoing.  They may be made between 3 days and 6 months in advance of your arrival, with a first reservable date of May 25th.  For detailed summer campsite information please click here.

The term Champagne Powder was originated in nearby Steamboat Springs, and with snowfall ranging between 240-600" a year Steamboat Lake has no shortage of the good stuff!  Indulge yourself in a wide variety of winter activities, including snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing, and winter camping. 

Weather conditions at the park vary dramatically and quickly, so please dress in layers.  Also, our climate is very dry, which is why the snow is so good, but make sure to keep hydrated!
