Jobs at Steamboat Lake State Park

We are accepting applications for spring of 2012!

Between our location and the kind of people it attracts, Steamboat Lake is perhaps the ideal place to work for the summer.  We are surrounded by hundreds of miles of all kinds of trails, offer inexpensive employee housing, and an unsurpassed work environment.  There's no shortage of laughter and sunshine here!

Our positions generally run from May until August, September, or October depending on the park's needs and your circumstances.  Because of Colorado law, temporary positions cannot exceed six months in duration.  If you have any questions please contact the Steamboat Lake Visitor Center at 970-879-3922.

We can work internship requirements into almost all of our positions.

Below are descriptions for the positions we will be hiring:

Applications are below.  Make sure to fill out the "Ranger" application if you are looking for a commissioned position.

You may also check out available volunteer positions through the State Parks Volunteer Program.

Job openings at Steamboat Lake State Park and other parks are also posted on the State Parks Jobs page, along with descriptions of typical full-time and temporary positions.

If you're interested in becoming a full-time, year-round Ranger for Colorado Parks and Wildlife, you can check out the State job annoucement here.  Applications are due March 31st, 2012.
