Crags Campground offers visitors 26 developed sites. Access to this area is steep, narrow and winding. Therefore, we do not recommend this campground for trailers or motor homes. On-site accommodations include vault toilet facilities.

This campground offers 32 electric sites and is directly accessible from Highway 14 and within a short walk of Ranger Lakes fishing areas. The fishing area includes a fishing pier for people with disabilities.
Water and vault toilet facilities are available nearby. *Bring a hose to access the water. A nature trail and the Gould Loop Trail are accessible from the campground. Interpretive programs are offered on some weekend nights in the campground amphitheater. Boats are not permitted on the Ranger Lakes.

This campground borders the North Michigan reservoir and provides easy access to fishing and hiking. Boating on the reservoir is restricted to wakeless speeds only. No swimming is permitted. On-site accommodations include water, vault toilet facilities and two boat ramps.
The campground is divided into the North Side and the South Side. The North Side has 13 campsites and six cabins. Site 207 is universally accessible. The South Side offers 35 campsites, with 5 pull-through sites.

This campground is located one mile north of the North Michigan Reservoir within view of the Medicine Bow mountain range. It hosts 52 sites. There are 13 pull-through sites and one group area with six sites. The new Bockman horse corral is located here, making it easy to combine equestrian activities with camping. On-site accommodations include vault toilet facilities.

The State Forest State Park offers over 60 dispersed sites on a first-come first served basis. These sites are located along County Road 41 and the Bockman, Montgomery Pass and Ruby Jewel roads. Many of these sites offer seclusion and great views. Some offer vault toilet facilities. These sites are a good option for those spur of the moment camping trips.

Backcountry camping is allowed at various locations throughout the park including, Ruby Jewel, Kelly, Clear and American Lakes. Minimum impact camping techniques are recommended at these alpine lake areas. No camping is allowed in the Lake Agnes area. No back country fires allowed.
- A parks pass is required on all vehicles.
- Campground users must have both a camping permit and a daily parks pass.
- Camping is only permitted on designated campsites.
- Please display the permit in the site marker located at each campsite.
- Minimum impact camping techniques are recommended at alpine lake areas.
- Camping isn’t allowed in the Lake Agnes Basin. Before camping in the backcountry, campers should check with a ranger or at the park office for information.
- Horses are not permitted within campgrounds.
- Dump station is located off County Road 41 on road to the shop, just past the entrance station.
*Showers are not available within the State Forest State Park.
*No back country fires allowed.
