Notice: A county-wide fire ban went into effect on June 12th due to extremely dry conditions and includes Spinney Mountain State Park. Wood and charcoal fires are prohibited. Only fires solely fueled by liquid petroleum or LPG fuels are allowed. Visitors using these devices are reminded to watch them at all times and use them in areas away from any flammable materials. Smoking is only allowed within an enclosed vehicle or in a developed recreation site or while stopped in an area at least three feet in diameter that is barren or cleared of all flammable materials. Spinney Mountain Reservoir opened to all boating on Wed., May 29th.
Spinney Mountain Reservoir opened to all boating at 10:30 A.M. on Wed., May 29th. The park itself had previously opened for the season on April 29th. *** All trailered vessels are required to be inspected and MUST be cleaned, drained and dried prior to the inspection taking place. This includes requiring the removal of all snow, mud or other road debris from both the trailer and the vessel prior to the inspection.
