Camping - 5/15/2013 We are open to camping year-round. This small park remains very popular and often requires a reservation to secure your favorite site. There is a window of three days where unreserved sites are sold on a first come first served basis only. (Today, tomorrow and the following day) Reservations may be made up to 6 months in advance for the time period of April-October. The water hydrants will be shut off on November 1, or sooner if nights are too cold. Cell Phone Coverage - 5/15/2013 No cell phone coverage is available within the park. Fire Restrictions - 5/15/2013 Use permanent fire rings and NEVER leave a fire unattended ~ they must be extinguished before you leave! Your caution makes all the difference!!! Fishing Report - 5/15/2013 Rainbow and cutthroat trout are found in East Rifle Creek which flows through Rifle Falls. Fish up to 19 inches long have been taken, with 6-9 inch fish being the average size. Brown and Black flies or spinners work the best. Bait, except for live fish, can be used. Trails - 5/15/2013 The trails are open year round. Access to the base of the falls is level, paved and a short distance from the parking lot. Please use caution and wear appropriate footwear. Use caution, you may begin to encounter icy patches on the trails.
