All water will be shut down November 1st. Water will be available on a limited basis in the Cottonwood loop at Rifle Gap. All winter camping is on a first come first serve basis. Reservations may be made up to 6 months in advance for the time period of May-October.
Fire Restrictions

All campfires must be contained in provided campfire rings/grills. Charcoal & propane grills are also allowed. Use common sense when wind is blowing. Firewood is available from the visitor center at Rifle Gap State Park, just 4 miles south on Highway 325.!
Fishing Report

Rainbow and brown trout are found in East Rifle Creek which flows through Rifle Falls. Fish up to 19 inches long have been taken, with 6-9 inch fish being the average size. Brown and Black flies or spinners work the best. Bait, except for live fish, can be used.
Trails

The trails are open year round. This is a great time to see the fall colors! During this time of year, access to the base of the falls is easy for the entire family. Please use caution, trails can get snowy, muddy and slippery. Please wear appropriate footwear and use caution on the icy spots on some of the trails that are within the park.

Winter weather can be nice during mid day but can change in an instant. Come prepared with layers and appropriate footwear. Please use caution while on the trails.
