Group Picnic Areas at Ridgway State Park

There are two shelters for up to 250 people located in the Pa-Co-Chu-Puk area of the park.  Both are next to the Uncompahgre River offering an ideal setting to celebrate weddings, family reunions, company picnics and parties of all kinds.  Check the Ridgway's fees page for rate information.

• Horseshoe pits, playground, sand volleyball court

Group Areas for Campers 

There are three areas for large camping groups to gather.  Check the park map and brochure for sites at: C-Loop in the Dakota Terraces Campground in the Dutch Charlie area and one in G-Loop, in the Pa-Co-Chu-Puk Campground.

The C-Loop sites can accommodate up to 50 people and features a concrete pad, large barbecue grill, four picnic tables and a water hydrant. 

The G-Loop site can accommodate up to 75 people and offers a shade shelter, concrete pad, fire ring, large barbecue grill, six picnic tables and a water hydrant. 

These group eating areas can ONLY be reserved by camping groups for a small fee, on a 'first come first served' basis; check the fees page for more information.
