Conditions

Boating - 5/4/2012

The dock should be in by this weekend. Please be aware that aquatic nuisance species (ANS) inspections are mandatory on all trailered vessels. You may have an inspection at either the Steamboat Lake Visitor Center, or any Ranger in the field.

Camping - 5/4/2012

First-come-first-serve camping is available at Pearl Lake. The water should be on by the weekend pending any waterline issues. Reservations for 2012 may be made between 3 days and 6 months in advance, with a first reservable date of May 25th and a last reservable date of September 11th. Reservations may be made by calling 1-800-678-2267 or online at www.reserveamerica.com.

Fire Restrictions - 4/30/2012

Campfires are allowed at the Park in designated fire rings. Please be aware that we had a weak winter and conditions are very dry. Never leave a fire unattended, and make sure they are completely extinguished when you are done.

Fishing Report - 5/4/2012

Belly boaters are doing well around the willows, bank fishing has been OK. The dam area has been producing pretty well also. Please remember Pearl Lake is regulated to flies and lures only, with a bag limit of two 18"+ trout.

Icing Conditions - 4/27/2012

We have no ice on Pearl Lake at this time.

Road Conditions - 4/27/2012

All Pearl Lake roads are open.

Seasonal Closures - 4/27/2012

The water is still off. We'll be getting it online in early May.

Spring Colors - 4/27/2012

We're getting the first of the Glacier Lilies blooming. Expect an early, and perhaps shorter, wildflower season this year as a result of our thin snowpack over the winter.

Trails - 4/27/2012

All trails are open, though there is still snow in the shade.

Water Levels - 4/27/2012

Normal.
