Boat Ramps - 6/16/2013 Open! Boating - 6/16/2013 We are open for boating. Please be aware that aquatic nuisance species (ANS) inspections are mandatory on all trailered vessels. The Pearl Inspection station is open on weekends, and Inspectors are available during most daylight hours at the Steamboat Lake Marina and Placer Cove boat ramps. You may also stop by the Visitor Center or request an inspection from any Ranger in the field. Camping - 6/16/2013 The campground is open. Reservations for our high-use summer season are highly recommended! Campsite reservations for 2013 may be made between 3 days and 6 months in advance, with a first reservable date of Friday, May 24th and a last reservable date of Monday, September 9th. Please call 1-800-678-2267 or go online at www.reserveamerica.com. The yurts are reservable year-round, and make a great winter getaway! Cell Phone Coverage - 6/16/2013 The upper campground loop and dam should be good, while the lower loop and boat ramp can be hit and miss. Fire Restrictions - 6/16/2013 You may have a fire in the campground within approved fire grates and grills. Please use caution! Do not leave your fire unattended, and make sure the fire is completely extinguished when you are done. Fishing Report - 6/7/2013 Blue Kast-masters in the evening have been doing well, as have wooly boogers, Grayling have been schooling by the dam in early morning and late evening, crawdad type flies have been hitting well also according the our guests. We are having logging done along the Connection Trail, and it is currently closed. We have opened the Dam Access Road to public foot traffic as an alternative route.
