Boat Ramps - 1/15/2012
Navajo State Park's boat ramp is one of the longest in the state, extending 110 feet to the river channel. Launching is permitted only after an inspection for aquatic nuisance species. The boat ramp is closed Dec. 1 until March 1 and may freeze in January and February. Call the park at 970-883-2208 to inquire.
Cabins and Yurts - 1/15/2012
The park has three furnished cabins, each with its own flush restroom and shower. Please see "Cabins" link on the Navajo State Park homepage for additional information.
Campgrounds - 1/15/2012
Navajo's campgrounds have 118 RV and tent sites with showers and flush toilets. Carracas Campground features 41 RV sites with individual electric hook-ups. Rosa Campground has 39 RV sites with individual electric, water and sewer hook-ups and eight tent sites. Tiffany Campground has 25 basic sites, six tent sites and three cabins. Camper services buildings in each developed campground provide showers and flush facilities and are open April 15- October 15. There is also a self service laundry in the Rosa Camper Services Building. See the "Camping" link on the Navajo State Park homepage for additional information.
Conference Rooms - 1/15/2012
A conference room in the Visitor Center serves as a location for park and community meetings and is available for rent by individuals or organizations for a fee. Accessible parking is available. Please call the Visitor Center at 970-883-2208 for reservations and information.
Group Picnic Area - 1/15/2012
Two group picnic shelters with upright grills, picnic tables and water are available for reservation through the Visitor Center. The picnic shelter near the Visitor Center has electric outlets and lights as well. Accessible parking is available at both picnic shelters. Call 970-883-2208 for reservations and information. Marina - 1/15/2012
Navajo State Park boasts its own full-service marina. Two Rivers Marina sells fuel, ice, tackle, boating supplies, snacks and accessories; has boat slips and mooring buoys; rental boats (pontoon boats, a fishing boat and a fishing/ski boat) and a restroom on the dock. Showers - 3/12/2012
Coin-operated showers are available at each of the developed campgrounds; Rosa, Carracas and Tiffany.
Trails - 1/15/2012
Navajo has several designated trails throughout the park and miles of outstanding areas to hike along the San Juan River. Mountain bikes are permitted in the park. Horseback riding is permitted only along the San Juan River off County Road 500. For more information, visit the "Trails" link on the left side of Navajo's main page.
Visitor Center - 1/15/2012
The Visitor Center is located at the park entrance. The hours of operation vary with the season. Services and features include archeological, geologic, historic and wildlife displays, brochures, bookstore, sale of passes, registrations, fishing licenses, and more.
