Cabins and Yurts

Mueller State Park offers 3 furnished log cabins for rent year-round and they make a great winter "camping" alternative!! The cabins are rented via reservations and on a first-come, first-served basis when available. Reservations must be made for a minimum of 2 nights. Pricing is as follows: Pine Cabin/2bdr/$140 night; Spruce Cabin/3bdr/$200 night; Ponderosa/4bdr/$260 night. Colorado State Parks reservations line 1-800-678-2267 or 303-470-1144. No Pets/Smoking. No refunds for weather.

WINTER: 17 first-come first-served electircal sites available. Showers, laundry, water hydrants and dump station are NOT available during the winter; potable water is only availble via the sink in the Comfort Station Restrooms. SUMMER: Electrical campsites and walk-in tent campsites. Water is available. Modern restrooms. Dump Station is open to paid campers. Electrical hook-ups with 20amp & 30amp. Shower Building has modern restrooms and pay showers. Mueller is a popular camping destination; reservations are highly recommended.

Currently taking reservations for 2013; reservations began at 9AM January 9th, 2013. at 719-687-2366 Ext 0. 11 electric sites, most of which can accomodate both tents and R.V.s, are arranged in a close-knit fashion, great for a family reunion or the weekend getaway with friends! All 11 sites must be reserved; $252/night.

Horse Trailer Parking

CLOSED FOR THE WINTER-please use Elk Meadow parking lot as an alternative. Horse Trailer Parking is available at the Livery Trailhead #20 (the old livery). Overnight camping with horses is prohibited.

Picnic Sites

Mueller has 4 first-come first-served picnic areas in a beautiful forested setting. Each picnic area can accomodate up to 50 persons. WINTER: Access may be limited with heavy snowfall. Each area has 10 tables spread out amoung the trees with an upright barbecue grill at each table. Bootlegger Picnic Area (CLOSED FOR THE WINTER) has a handicapped accessible table. Non-reservable.

Showers

CLOSED FOR THE WINTER. Coin showers are available during the summer season. They use quarters and the cost is $1.00 for 4 minutes, then 25 cents per minute.

Trails

Mueller offers 55 miles of trails for your enjoyment via foot, horseback, mountain bike, snow shoes or cross-country skis. All trails are open at this time. Current conditions are poor-fair; there's approximately 12 inches of thick, wet and heavy snow on the trails making it difficult for snow shoeing or hiking; cross-country skiing may be the best bet at this time. Always take a Mueller State Park Trail Map with you. A Printable trail map is available at the menu on your left.

Visitor Center

Open daily from 9:00AM - 4:00PM. Located 1.5 miles from the park entrance on the left. The Visitor Center offers multiple interactive nature & local history exhibits and awesome opportunities for photos and one-of-a-kind views. You can also find maps, information and souvenirs for purchase at the bookstore. Modern restrooms are also available.
