Camping - 5/11/2012

Currently all campsites are open first come first serve. Electrical RV sites $22/night. Walk in tent-only sites $18/night. $7 daily vehicle pass or current Annual Pass per vehicle per night. Water is on on all areas; Dump Station is open with a paid camping permit. The Camper Services Building (showers) will be opening the week of May 14th. Please call the park next week for the exact date.

Hunting - 5/11/2012

Wildlife Office (719.228.5200) or check them out there extensive web site at http://wildlife.state.co.us/Hunting/Pages/Hunting. Only 800 acres of Mueller is within Unit 581 adjacent to the Dome Rock State Wildlife Area on the west boundary of the park. It is your responsibility to know where these boundaries are and be familiar with all Colorado Parks and Wildlife regulations. 719-687-2366 x106

Park Entrance - 5/11/2012

All State Parks have an entrance fee. Entrance fee for each vehicle is $7 or a valid/current Colorado State Parks Annual Pass. If gate attendant is not present, a self-service daily vehicle pass must be purchased before entering the park. Day use hours 5AM -10PM. 719-687-2366 press zero.

Seasonal Closures - 5/11/2012

Mueller State Park is open year round for trail use, camping and cabin rental. Trails in the Grouse Mountain area are closed every year from June 1 through June 20 for Elk calving season. The Visitor Center is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays until May 16th. The Camper Services Bldg. is closed until approximately May 15th.

Spring Colors - 5/11/2012

With some patches of snow still on the ground many plants are still budding including the aspen. Golden Banner, Ground Potentilla, Candy Tuft, Pasque, were sighted today.

Trails - 5/11/2012

Mueller offers 55 miles of hiking trails for your enjoyment. All trails are open at this time. Always take a Mueller Trail Map. A Printable trail map is available at the menu on your left.
