Mueller's campground is located in a picturesque forest setting of spruce, fir, pine and aspen trees with panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains. The park has 132 campsites, 3 furnished log cabins and an R.V. Group Campground Loop (reservable through the park only).  View the Campground Map and the Mueller State Park Brochure and Area Map for more information.

The campground sites reservable dates are from approximately mid-May through mid-October. The exact dates change each year.  Reservations can be made a minimum of 3 days ahead of your arrival, up to 6 months in advance.  Reserve your campsite online, or call Monday through Friday, 9:00AM -4:00PM Mountain time (excluding holidays). 1-800-678-2267, or in the Denver metro area 303-470-1144. 

The campground can accommodate motor homes, trailers and tents. The Camper Services Building with modern restrooms, coin operated showers and coin laundry is centrally located in the campground (summer only). All campsites, except the walk-in tent campsites, have 20 Amp and 30 Amp electrical hookups. Water hydrants & vault toilets are located throughout the campground.

There are no sewer hookups, but a dump station is available to registered campers holding a reservation or camping permit. ( when accessible in winter).  Please use the dump station. It is illegal to dump any waste or sewage on the ground or vegetation, including dishwater.

Pets are welcome in the campground, picnic areas and along the developed road system throughout the park.   Pets must be on a leash at all times and are not allowed on the trails or in the backcountry, as Mueller State Park's backcountry is a Watchable Wildlife Area.

May 1st thru September 30th  
Winter: October 1st thru April 30th

Aspen Leaf Annual Pass Holders discounts are valid Sunday through Thursday nights, excluding Holidays.

Campers are limited to one camping unit and a maximum of six persons per site. A camping unit consists of one of the following combinations (if campsite space allows):
  • One passenger vehicle and two tents, or
  • One vehicle towing one camping trailer and one tent, or
  • One pick-up truck towing one camping trailer and one tent, or 
  • One motorized camper (motor home or bus) and one tent, or
  • One additional passenger vehicle or motorcycle may be parked at the campsite if space permits.
 Bear Information
Mueller State Park is located in black bear country. Black bears are often seen in the park during the spring, summer and fall. Strict food storage regulations apply year round and 24 hours a day.  Learn more about bear country.

Winter Camping
Enjoy Mueller’s uncrowded trails in the winter and much more! Mueller has 17 RV Electrical Sites available -- a portion of Revenuer’s Ridge Campground and Peak View Campground -- from mid October until mid May on a first-come, first-served basis; weather dependant.  Showers, laundry and potable water are not available in the winter. The Comfort Station with modern bathrooms and several vault toilets are available during the winter camping season. When accessible, the RV Dump Station offers dry dumping  available  to registered campers. If you would rather not rough it this winter, try one of Mueller’s three modern cabins!
