Boat ramps to the Colorado River are available at the Fruita and Corn Lake sections, however the river is seasonally low with some ice.
Boating

Boating on Corn Lake, Fruita, Connected Lakes and Island Acres are hand-launch, electric or non-motored only. No boats are allowed on the Wildlife Area lakes.
Camping

The Fruita section is now open to camping with 68 sites available. The Island Acres section has 80 campsites (74 electric) and two group picnic areas available. Both Fruita and Island Acres campgrounds now on first-come-first-served basis. Next year, for camping reservations, call 1-800-678-2267, or 1-303-470-1144 for Denver metro residents. For group camping reservations at Fruita, call 1-970-858-9188. To reserve group picnic areas: Fruita 1-970-858-9188, and Island Acres 1-970-464-0548.
Construction

All sections of the James M. Robb-Colorado River State Park are now open. Foot access to the trail and picnic areas is still available.
Fire Restrictions

Fires in camp site fire rings and picnic site grills or contained gas and charcoal grills only. Firewood available for sale at Fruita and Island Acres. Be sure to have someone attending to fires at fire rings and pits at all times. Please extinguish your fire before leaving your site.
Fishing Report

The ice is now completely gone off the lakes in the Park. Rainbow Trout stocking will begin in March for Corn Lake; Island Acres: Roan's Pothole and Old Orchard; and Fruita Red Rocks Lake. In addition, Corn Lake will be receiving Black Crappie and Largemouth Bass in the fall. Colorado Fishing Licenses now valid from April 1st to March 31st.

The ice is completely gone off the lakes now, and fishing from the shore and non-gas motor boats is now possible.
