THE BOAT RAMP WILL CLOSE NOVEMBER 1 to all trailered watercraft. You are allowed to hand launch from the shore at both Harvey Gap and Rifle Gap reservoirs. Boat ramps will re-open April 1, 2012.
Camping

Harvey Gap is a day use park, no camping is allowed. Nearby Rifle Falls State Park and Rifle Gap State Park have year round camping.
Fire Restrictions

All campfires must be contained in provided campfire rings/grills. Charcoal & propane grills are also allowed. Use common sense when wind is blowing.
Fishing Report

Fishing has been good for yellow perch throughout the lake. Fishing has been good for northern pike!
Icing Conditions

Ice conditions will vary throughout the lake. Currently between 9 and 12 inches are present around the southern portion of the lake. 7 - 8 inches around the boat ramp and northern end of the lake. As of 1/13/12 - water will come into Harvey at a high rate. Anticipate there may be as much as an 8 foot gap between the shore and the ice very soon. As always fish with a buddy and be sure to have self rescue equipment with you. “NO ICE IS SAFE ICE”. Check back here for current conditions or contact the Rifle gap visitor center for up to date information.
Water Levels

Silt Water has indicated they have begun to let water flow back in to Harvey Gap. The edges will be sloppy and a large gap between shore and ice may occur.
