Works Ranch Group Area

 Pets are not permitted at the Works Ranch facility.

The Works Ranch Group Area consists of a camper cabin and group camping area.  The two-room cabin includes a bedroom area with a queen size and twin size bunk bed, a living room (with a wood burning fireplace), baseboard heating, electricity, food preparation area, dining furniture, and a large deck. There is no running water in the cabin, water is provided through an outside spigot. The tent camping area includes an outdoor fireplace, large stand up charcoal grill, two large picnic tables, two 20 foot by 20 foot high-use tent pads, and a double vault toilet.  Firewood is available for purchase from the Visitor Center and campground office. Photos

The Works Ranch is located at the north west corner of the park on Damascus Road, off Gap Road. The cabin is surrounded by a dense lodgepole pine forest, allowing for privacy and a true wilderness experience.  The site is also close to many of the park's trails, fishing ponds, and the Reverend's Ridge amphitheater, where interpretive programs are staged during the summer.  Guests can use the shower and restroom facilities at the Reverend's Ridge campground if they wish - a 1.5 mile drive from the cabin.  Bring all bedding, pillows, camp stoves, utensils, and cookware for your stay at the Works Ranch - this is a basic camper cabin with limited furnishings. There is no refrigeration at the cabin. Camping chairs for the deck are a good idea too.

Availability: The Works Ranch is available from May 25 to September 30.
Capacity: A total of 30 people can stay in the Works Ranch Group Area. A maximum of 6 people can sleep in the cabin, and a further 24 people can camp on the 2 tent pads. Each tent pad can accommodate 12 people.

Fees : (A two night minimum is required to reserve the Works Ranch Group Area)

• $142.00 per night (for a total of $284.00 for a two night rental). This includes the cabin at $70.00 per night, and 2 tent pads for up to 24 campers at $72.00 per night - 12 campers per pad.
• Reservation fee of $10.00 per booking.
• Each vehicle also requires a $7 park pass per day.

Times: Check in  from 1:00 p.m. Check out by 11:00 a.m.

Parking:  Up to 12 vehicles.  No trailers, motor homes or pop-ups allowed.

Refunds/Cancellations/No Shows:

1. No refunds are given due to inclement weather or campfire bans.
2. For cancellations made 14 days or more prior to the reservation date, the reservation fee ($10.00) will be retained, and a cancellation fee ($6.00) will be charged.
3. For cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the reservation date, the reservation fee ($10.00) and the first night's fee will be retained.
