Boat Ramps
-
2/3/2012
All ramps have closed for the season. They will re-open next spring after ice-off. For basic boating information please refer to the Boating Conditions section below. When the ramps re-open in the spring: All trailered vessels of any description must be inspected for Aquatic Nuisance Species prior to either launching at or exiting from the Eleven Mile Reservoir boat ramps. All vessels requiring an inspection MUST be cleaned, drained and dried prior to the inspection taking place. This includes requiring the removal of all snow, mud or other road debris from both the trailer and the vessel prior to the inspection. ***Due to confirmation that both Eurasion Water Milfoil and New Zealand Mud Snails are both present in Eleven Mile Reservoir, all boats MUST be inspected prior to leaving from the boat ramp parking lot. It is illegal to knowingly transport ANS.***

Fishing Report
-
2/3/2012
The reservoir is completely frozen over. Ice thickness is 18-24" in most areas. TROUT: FAIR TO GOOD. Cross Creek is not the only place holding fish. Nice fish hanging around rock structures at Witchers Cove, Deer Island, Corral Cove and North Shore. Work the areas right up against or directly over structure. Kastmaster, Swedish Pimples and Krocodiles have done well on aggressive days. Sparkle tubes in pink and orange along with other micro jigs, crappie jigs and tube jigs have produced. Change up when rejected. SALMON: FAIR. This week has seen some improvement in the action and size of the fish being caught. The bite is best between 7 to 11 AM. Swedish Pimples, pink Sparkle tubes and the Cripple Herring are all taking down some kokes. A little Nitro Grease on the worm doesn’t hurt either. NORTHERN PIKE: FAIR. Some decent activity on the West end. Try the over flow channel accessed from Stoll Mountain. Its a hike but it can be worth the effort. Tubes and spoons and you can really get lucky on a Paddle Bug if they don’t chomp it off. Don't forget to register with 11 Mile Sports for the annual South Park Ice Masters Traveling Trophy Ice Fishing Tournament on February 11, 2012. Anglers are reminded that when heading out onto the ice it is always a good practice to so with another person, wear a PFD, bring at least 50 feet of rope, and drill test holes to determine ice thickness. Remember that ice thickness can change dramatically within relatively short walking distances. For basic boating or boat ramp information please refer to the Boating and Boat Ramp Conditions sections above.
