Conditions

Boating - 5/7/2013
The Peninsula boat ramp opened Saturday, April 6. Inspection hours are 8am-4:30pm through May 9th. 10am - 6:30pm starting May 10th.
Camping - 5/7/2013
Clear Fork and Iron Creek campgrounds are currently open. Walk in sites are available. If you make a reservation, it must be made at least 3 days in advance of your stay. After that sites are available on a first come first served basis only. Campers that have a Senior Citizen Aspen Leaf Annual pass affixed to their windshield receive a $3 discount off the normal camping fees on Sunday-Thursday nights only-not including holidays.
Cell Phone Coverage - 4/28/2013
Sprint cell service is good at the park. Sometimes there is enough Verizon signal to text, but not usually enough for a phone call. Other carriers do not work. We do not have wi-fi, but you can get it in town near the library.
Fishing Report - 5/7/2013
We have numerous reports of pike and catfish. The crappie have slowed down in this cooler weather, but are still being reported.
Park Entrance - 4/28/2013
The Visitor Center will be open 8-4. Please STOP at the window in order for an attendant to view your pass. You must have a valid pass in order to enter the park at all entrances, day or night, all year long.
Seasonal Closures - 4/28/2013
Iron Creek boat ramp is closed at this time due to low water levels. The swim beach is currently closed.
Water Levels - 5/12/2013
Water levels are consistently rising. The elevation of the water has risen 2 feet in the last week-that's about 3 inches a day. The rising water has started to level off and is being maintained. As the weather warms up and the snow starts to melt, we may see a faster increase in the water level again.
