Camping - 1/16/2012
Clear Fork Campground is open all winter with a limited number of sites cleared of snow. Reservations can no longer be made. All sites are offered on a first come, first served basis. The camper services buildings are closed for the season.
Fire Restrictions - 1/16/2012
All fires must be in grills or firepits provided. Please keep a shovel and a bucket of water nearby.
Fishing Report - 1/16/2012
Recent reports from ice anglers have been that the crappie, perch and pike have been biting. We have also had a few reports of catfish, trout and bass. If you are an angler, please let us know how you have done!
Icing Conditions - 1/16/2012
The lake is now completely iced over. Recent reports from anglers are that the ice is about 5"-8" thick. Be sure to drill test holes as you work your way onto the ice so you can determine it's integrity. Remember that snow accumulations on top of the ice actually insulate the ice from freezing any more. Be careful!
Park Entrance - 1/16/2012
The Visitor Center will be open 8-4 daily. Please STOP at the window in order for an attendant to view your pass. You must have a valid pass in order to enter the park at all entrances, day or night.
Seasonal Closures - 1/16/2012
Both boat ramps are currently closed. Iron Creek campground is closed for the season, as well as the camper services building in Clear Fork Campground. The bath house on the peninsula has been winterized. The west day use area has been closed to vehicle traffic. You may still walk in, however.
