The (AHRA) is accepting applications/nominations for their Citizen Task Force (CTF) for one member for each of 7 specific user groups to serve a 2-year term from April 2013 - April 2015. Self-nominations are accepted, but endorsement by AHRA partner organizations is encouraged. The nominations will be accepted through Feb. 28, 2013.
The CTF is comprised of 2 representatives, serving alternating 2-year terms, for 7 user groups: Anglers; Private Boaters; Commercial Permittees; Riverfront Property Owners; Environmental Interests; Local Governments; and Water Interests.
The task force has been functioning since 1990 as an advisory group to Colorado Parks and Wildlife's AHRA Park Manager and the Bureau of Land Management's AHRA River Manager. The task force gives recommendations to the AHRA on management, growth and development issues throughout the recreation area and upper Arkansas River valley, while providing an open communication link to parties affected by management decisions. Volunteering for the Citizen Task Force is a great opportunity to be involved in the mission of the AHRA.
