Boat Ramps - 5/19/2013 The boat ramp is open to smaller craft, however, the water has come up enough that some larger boats have been launched. Launching of houseboats and other larger boats is being accomplished on a case by case basis at this time. Those with larger boats should call ahead at 970-883-2628 to arrange for launching. There is still some silt underwater so launching would be easier with 4WD. ANS inspectors are on duty 8-4 daily. Beginning May 24, summer ANS inspection hours will be extended to 7 AM - 8 PM daily. Your boat MUST be inspected before launching. Launching in Colorado is permitted at the boat ramp only. Please remember to bring sunscreen, insect repellent and clothes appropriate for changes in the weather. Camping - 5/19/2013 Campsites and all three cabins are available for reservation at this time. Reservations for this season can be made 3 days in advance, up to 6 months before the arrival date. The camper services buildings in Rosa, Carracas and Tiffany Campgrounds are now open. Primitive campgrounds are first come, first serve year round, and vault toilets are open at both Arboles Point and Windsurf Beach throughout the year. Fall Colors - 12/16/2012 Fishing Report - 5/19/2013 The crappie have been biting in LaJara and Bancos Canyons. Water temperature is currently approximately 57 degrees. 2013-14 Colorado and New Mexico fishing licenses are available at the Visitor Center at this time. Seasonal Closures - 5/19/2013 The Two Rivers Marina store and services, including gas, are now open 8:00-6:00 daily. Call 970-883-2628 with marina questions. ANS inspectors are now on duty 8-4 daily.
