Hunting at Golden Gate Canyon State Park

Hunting in the park is controlled and permitted in the Jefferson County portion of the park only (orange portion of the map). Hunting is allowed from the Tuesday after Labor Day through the Friday prior to Memorial Day.

All hunters are required to purchase a vehicle pass and register at the Visitor’s Center. Hunting is limited to a maximum of thirty-five hunters per day.

Green Ranch
Limited access permits are available for the elk hunting program on the Green Ranch portion of the park. For specific information on the Green Ranch go to our Green Ranch Web page.

Information on seasons and regulations are available at the park office or by going to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife website.  All Colorado Parks and Wildlife regulations apply when hunting in Golden Gate Canyon State Park.

Ralston Creek State Wildlife Area

Please check this page frequently as controlled burns may occur in the Nott Creek area throughout the fall season if the right conditions exist.
