The Boat Ramp at the lake is open from 6:30a.m. to 9:30p.m. Please have your boat Clean, Drained and Dry before having it inspected. Inspectors will be on hand during operating hours for your convenience.

Fishing Report

Visibility at the Lake is increasing daily. The lake is a hot spot for fishing right now. One angler reports 25 fish in a day with his fly rod. A 40" fish weighing in at 25lbs was reported caught over the weekend. Water temperature is 65-70 degrees.

Swimming Conditions

All Swimming areas at Elkhead Reservoir are open. Keep in mind there are no lifeguards on duty at the lake.

Trails

There are numerous trails around the Elkhead Reservoir. Most are short hikes, but the photography opportunities are endless. The trails are snow packed at this time and good for cross country skiing.
