Boat Ramps - 5/24/2013 Both the North Shore and Witcher's Cove Boat Ramps are open for the season. All trailered boats must be inspected for invasive plants and animals prior to launch, and after coming off the water. All vessels requiring an inspection MUST be cleaned, drained and dried prior to the inspection taking place. This includes requiring the removal of all snow, mud or other road debris from both the trailer and the vessel prior to the inspection. The boat ramps are open from one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset. Ramp gates are locked promptly. For basic boating information please refer to the Boating Conditions section below. ***Due to confirmation that Eurasion Water Milfoil and New Zealand Mud Snails are both present in Eleven Mile Reservoir, all boats MUST be inspected prior to leaving from the boat ramp parking lot. The Showers, flush toilets and laundry facillities have been opened for the season. Reservations for all campgrounds are being accepted at this time. Campsites can be reserved between 3 days to 6 months in advance of the reservation date during the reservation season by calling (1-800-678-2267) outside the Denver calling area, or at (303-470-1144) within the Denver calling area or can be made online at www.parks.state.co.us. Construction - 5/24/2013 Nothing at this time. Fire Restrictions - 5/24/2013 No Fire Restrictions exist at this time. Park County is still in a relatively dry condition despite recent snow storms. Visitors are asked to exercise caution with any open flames and remember that absolutely NO FIRE is allowed to be left unattended at any time for any reason inside of the park, and must be maintained within park-provided fire rings or grills. Fishing Report - 5/24/2013 TROUT: (VERY GOOD) Lots of big fish caught this past week. Rainbows, Cutthroats, Cuttbows and an occasional Brown with many over 5 pounds. Look to Suckers Cove, Rocky Flats and North Shore as hot spots. The bite is sporadic. You can see one in the early AM, then it turns off and picks up again later in the day with sundown being lots of fun. As the water warms the bite can be different times of the day. Flies and tube jigs are being taken by the big ones. Bait anglers are seeing lots of 16 - 18" fish. SALMON: (NO REPORT) PIKE: (FAIR) There are monsters on the prowl in shallow water around North Shore, Rocky Flats, Stoll Mountain and Witchers Cove. Try Spoons, waterdogs,and sucker meat. Patience required, but big ones are being caught.. Dream Stream: (Good) Large fish are being caught with Midges, Barr’s Emergers, San Juan worms, and egg patterns. Hunting - 5/24/2013 Hunting is permitted for legally hunted species during legal hunting seasons with a legal hunting license in areas that are not closed to hunting. Park Entrance - 5/24/2013 The park office is open Sunday through Thursday from 8:00am to 8:00pm and from 8:00am to 9:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Road Conditions - 5/24/2013 Roads are currently clear. Seasonal Closures - 5/24/2013 The Marina store is open 7AM - 7PM. The Marina can be reached at (719)748-0317 or at www.11milesports.com. Spring Colors - 5/24/2013 Spring blooms are slow in showing this year. Trails - 5/24/2013 All trails are open and available for use. Water Levels - 5/24/2013 The reservoir was 99% full as of May 20th.
