Boyd Lake State Park Winter Activities

Visitors enjoy trail usage, sledding, waterfowl hunting and fishing during winter months. Ice fishing is allowed when conditions permit. Some campground sites remain open year-round (Loops E & F).

Winter enthusiasts are encouraged to call the park office for current conditions (970) 669-1739 or check the Boyd Lake Conditions Page.

Before going out onto a frozen lake, pond or river, it's important to take safety precautions to reduce the risk of falling through the ice. Knowing how to judge ice conditions will also help you make more informed decisions while enjoying winter activities.
