Badger Wash consists of an entire small watershed that has been used for hydrologic research for more than 30 years. Biologic values include high-quality examples of a cold desert shrubland community (mat saltbush/saline wild rye) and populations of the rare plants Astragalus musiniensis, Eriogonum contortum and Cryptantha elata.
