Natural Areas Program Staff

Brian Kurzel is the CNAP Coordinator. He monitors and assesses Natural Areas, uses science to address management issues and coordinates conservation actions around the state. Brian is an ecologist by training who runs the day-to-day CNAP activities: budgeting, grant-writing, coordinating Volunteer Stewards, working with land managers and technical experts on Natural Area stewardship, and getting in the field as much as possible! Brian is also an elected Board Member of the Colorado Native Plant Society.
