Military and Veterans Benefits
 

Colorado Parks and Wildlife is grateful for the service given by our members of the military for their personal sacrifices to serve our country. In honor of their service, we offer these benefits:United States Flag

  • Free entrance to state parks on Veteran's Day for all active duty and retired military and their families who enter a park in the same vehicle.
  • Colorado Disabled Veterans may apply for a Columbine Annual Pass. If the Veteran is 64 years or older, they also receive discounted camping at state park campgrounds, Sunday through Thursday excluding holidays.

Free Entrance on Veterans' Day

Free entrance to state parks will be granted on Friday, Nov. 11, 2011 for veterans and active duty personnel. Please present your identification at the entrance gate:


  • A valid active, reserve or retired military identification card
  • An identification card from the Veterans’ Administration, Veterans of Foreign Wars or the American Legion
  • Discharge Papers or a DD214
  • Or other proof of service
