Colorado Parks and Wildlife has partnered with The North Face to offer a brand new program. Our Let’s Camp! program is a fun-filled, overnight camping experience for families new to camping.
So, if you’ve ever wanted to go camping but you weren’t sure how to begin, this is the perfect solution.
The Let’s Camp! program takes place from Sunday to Monday and gives families hands-on guidance from knowledgeable and friendly staff.
The overnight adventure will include all the fundamentals of camping, from set up to break down in a safe, comfortable, and relaxed setting. This program is perfect for beginners who are looking to develop confidence for rewarding outdoor experiences in the future.
There are lots of fun, family outdoor activities planned. The best part is that no prior outdoor knowledge is needed and we even have loaner equipment for you and your family to use!
All equipment except food, sleeping bags and personal utensils/dishes will be available for participants who need it. Don’t worry, the program will also provide you with a list of food you should bring and show you how to cook it, camping style!
The Let's Camp! program will start on Sunday morning and end Monday afternoon. It will be held at the following dates and locations:
- June 2-3 at Lake Pueblo State Park
- June 30-July 1 at Cheyenne Mountain State Park
- July 14-15 at Cheyenne Mountain State Park
- August 4-5 at Lake Pueblo State Park
Lake Pueblo State Park = $34 per family/group*
Cheyenne Mountain State Park = $40 per family/group*
Fees** include:
- Loaned basic camping equipment (excluding food and personal items)
- Campsite fee
- Park entrance fee for two days
- Program and activity instruction
*Groups can have up to six participants and a maximum of two tents. One 6- person tent will be provided.
**Fees are non-refundable but are transferrable to another Let's Camp! program date pending availability.

Due to the program popularity, it is open only to new campers; therefore, if you participated in Let's Camp! previously, you will not be eligible to register.
